The Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia is the most respected and most often relied upon source of continuing professional education for British Columbia lawyers and their support staff. Our mandate is to meet the present and future educational needs of the legal profession in British Columbia. Our goal is to develop an ongoing long-term relationship with every lawyer in the province. Everyone on our staff is eager to hear your comments and suggestions on how we can accomplish this goal.

The Continuing Legal Education Society of BC is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria, the Law Society of BC, and the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Our directors represent all facets of the profession and all regions of the province. We acknowledge their significant contribution.

Our Programs group offers more than 80 courses a year—courses that are designed to provide extensive in-depth coverage of a wide range of specific topics from the never-ending challenges of taxation and family law to contemporary topics like technology law and aboriginal law.

The professional research and editorial staff in our Publications group ensure that our 50+ books are easy to use, comprehensive, reliable and practice-oriented. Regular updates ensure you can rely on the most current information available.

CLEBC derives all of its income from course registrations and publication sales. We receive no funding from any outside source. Our Administration group ensures that we are efficient as well as effective in delivering legal education to the BC legal community.
