"Smart" Forms for New Supreme Civil and Family Rules

CLEBC Staff/May 31, 2010

The Ministry of Attorney General is creating enhanced online versions of the new Supreme Court civil and family forms. The most commonly filed forms will be provided in an easy to use, saveable and fillable PDF format. The less frequently used forms will be provided in a fillable PDF format. Fields in the forms can be filled by cutting and pasting from existing precedents and Word files. All PDF forms can also be e-Filed.

In addition, 17 of the 80 commonly filed forms will be XML (extensible markup language) tagged. When these "smart" forms are e-Filed through Court Services Online, data can be extracted directly from the form into the courts civil case management system.

The new forms will be available on the AG’s website next month. Sample versions of five of the new forms are included on the site now.
