15 Years of Winning Advocacy Skills
Sandra Cunningham, QC welcomes registrants to CLEBC's Winning Advocacy Skills workshop.
Wendesday - Friday, July 9 - 11, 2014
8:30am - 5:00pm
UBC Robson Square, 800 Robson Street, Vancouver
Flames burst from the dry cleaner on Elm Street in East Vancouver. Spontaneous combustion? The insurance company pays out, but a private investigator gets a sniff of arson. The insurance company wants its money back. The police conduct an investigation and the owner and one of his employees are charged with arson.
This scenario mirrors a real case and is the basis for this year’s Winning Advocacy Skills Workshop. Since 1999, civil and criminal counsel have enhanced their courtroom skills through our annual workshop. The 15th annual workshop will be held in Vancouver July 9 – 11, 2014, with a prestigious group of senior counsel offering personalized instruction and feedback in a safe environment.
“The best way to learn the skills that you need to be successful in the courtroom is to practice them in a safe, supportive environment.”
Sandra Cunningham, QC - course co-chair
