Human Rights Conference 2017 | Call for Papers
CLEBC Staff | April 3, 2017
CLEBC is proud to present our Human Rights Conference on November 30 & December 1, 2017. At this annual 2-day conference, we address the most current and emerging issues in human rights law and aim to provide those working in the area with a substantive look at the current trends and practical issues to meet the increasingly complex and sophisticated issues in this area of practice.
At this time, we invite lawyers, academics, the judiciary, human resource practitioners, tribunal members, and all other professionals interested in the area of human rights law to provide us with a brief outline of papers and presentations that you would like to propose for a spot on the agenda.
Almost all of the topics for the conference come from the excellent responses to our Call for Papers. We welcome topics related to all aspects of human rights including workplace human rights, international human rights, charter issues, group rights and others.
Please take a moment to review the agendas from 2015 and 2016 for an idea on what topics have been covered recently. We do our best to have different topics every year, unless there have been significant developments or changes in the area.
Please send your submissions and/or any questions you have via e-mail to Genevieve Chang at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Your name and organization;
- Proposed topic; and
- ½ to 1 page outline of your proposed paper and presentation;
All submissions received by Monday, May 1, 2017 will be reviewed and considered by the Conference Chairs and Planning Committee.
Thank you for your continued support of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. We look forward to receiving your ideas and to seeing you at our Human Rights Conference. Please save the dates!
