Musings on High Conflict Custody Cases (HCCs)
Author: George W. Gordon of Aaron Gordon Daykin Nordlinger, Vancouver, BC

In this paper written for the recent CLEBC course: The Psychology of Relationship Breakdown, George W. Gordon muses on high conflict custody cases. In the author's words: "My purpose in this paper is to offer a slightly polemical perspective as to how these cases are currently handled by our courts. I would like to express some of the concerns that I think heighten, rather than lessen, the conflict; and finally, to offer some ideas about how we need to change our approach to these cases."
