Complex multi-party litigation and related multi-action litigation often present procedural, substantive, and strategic issues to counsel that do not exist in two-party actions. This intensive course identifies and examines many of the key issues counsel may face in complex multi-party and multi-action litigation, and provides tested solutions and strategies to help you best assist your clients. Topics include: procedural traps and tips, third party claims, defence and indemnity agreements, insurance issues, BC Ferries and related agreements, multi-party causation, and advice from the bench and plaintiff's counsel.

- procedural issues unique to multi-party claims
- third party claims in the multi-party context
- utilization of agreements to manage litigation risk
- insurance issues in multi-party claims
- practical practice pointers
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
