A comprehensive introduction to personal injury practice for paralegals and legal support staff, this fundamentals level course will cover the main elements of managing a personal injury file, from initial information gathering to file opening through to the bill of costs and all steps in between. You'll learn about gathering information from first responders and witnesses, dealing with accident engineers and reconstruction experts, case management and organization, document management, medical and work records, mediation, trial management conferences and the bill of costs, and taxation. This practice-focused program is designed for junior support staff and lawyers who seek a nuts and bolts review of the essentials of how to manage a personal injury file.
