Who should attend: Junior civil litigators and experienced litigators who seek a comprehensive refresher on the fundamentals of civil litigation practice; law students and articled students are welcome.

Learning level: Fundamental

This course is designed for lawyers in the first two years of practice, lawyers changing areas of practice, and experienced lawyers who want a comprehensive refresher on the essential elements of civil litigation, and law students and articled students. You will walk through a file from start to finish and receive tips and advice that put theory into practice. Materials will include reference papers, case studies, examples, references to the Practice Checklists Manual, and precedents. This course is an excellent complement to any law firm’s in-house training. The 2012 and previous offerings of this program have received rave reviews as seen by the testimonial below.
