Who should attend: Lawyers with 1 – 3 years experience advising businesses; experienced lawyers or in-house counsel who seek a refresher or primer on key areas of corporate law.

Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate

This 6-part CLE-TV series will provide you with an overview of the basic principles in corporate law and how to use them effectively in practice, so that you have the big picture in mind when advising a business. The experts will give you practical tips on how to handle that initial conversation when a new client walks into your office, what questions you should ask, and when you need further information. This series uses the CLEBC publication Advising British Columbia Businesses as its course materials and resource guide. Rebroadcasts: Those who register for the series may attend any or all of the rebroadcasts for FREE, giving you 2 opportunities to attend each course.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours for the series (a minimum of 2 hours will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). NOTE: If you attend both the original live course AND the rebroadcast, you may claim credit for ONLY ONE of them.
