This course will review the major issues and processes currently shaping shareholders’ disputes. The course will begin with dispute prevention and move to ADR with a consideration of its place in resolving shareholder conflicts. The program is rounded out with a review of statutory remedies, management of proxy battles, and secondary market liability, and concludes with a review of professionalism issues for counsel acting in shareholders’ disputes. This comprehensive one-day program will bring both junior and experienced counsel quickly up to speed on current developments in this critical niche of corporate practice.
