Who should attend: Lawyers who practice in the areas of environmental law, real estate law, municipal law, and regulatory affairs; the course may also be of interest to municipal officers, planners, developers, and anyone interested in the regulation of water use in BC.
Learning level: All levels
BC’s current Water Act is over one hundred years old and will be replaced by the new Water Sustainability Act on a date to be determined by future regulation. Join us for an introduction to the new legislation. We will highlight key changes, such as the new licensing regimes for ground water and surface water, and enforcement and compliance issues including protection orders and administrative penalties.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 1 hour. There are NO hours containing aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.
