Who should attend: Lawyers who advise clients in all areas of construction law.

At this Construction Law update, solicitors and litigators team up to tell you how to spot potential red flags in projects so you can prevent problems down the road. You will receive key insights and learn how to proceed if things go wrong after all. You will take away practical, grounded information to help you provide better service to your clients. 

After this course, you will:

  • know how to create a project insurance plan
  • understand environmental and municipal permitting issues
  • know what you can and cannot lien
  • grasp the pros and cons of going to arbitration in construction cases

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
