Who should attend: Lawyers practicing family law.

Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate

Experienced counsel will share effective strategies and practice tips on a wide range of topics to assist you with handling family law Provincial Court matters with competence and confidence. The course will also cover changes as a result of the Family Law Act.

After taking this course, you will be able to:

  • know how to manage a Provincial Court family file
  • understand the issues regarding financial disclosure, jurisdiction, and experts reports
  • know how to navigate a child protection case
  • be up-to-date on dispute resolution options

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6.5 hours (a minimum of 1.25 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
