Who should attend: Lawyers who practice in the areas of environmental law, municipal law, and regulatory affairs. This may also be of interest to municipal officers, planners, developers, and those interested in the regulation of water use in BC.
Learning level: All levels
This program will provide an introduction to the regulation of water use in BC from public, industry, and First Nation perspectives. We will cover a number of topics including:
- licensing water use
- working near water
- providing drinking water
- drilling and maintaining groundwater wells
- managing watershed
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 2 (this course will NOT involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care, and relations, and/or practice management)
