Who should attend: All litigators.

In this interconnected world, business and personal relationships span borders. When these relationships break down, information from parties in multiple jurisdictions is required during litigation. Courts can grant orders requesting disclosure known as letters rogatory or letters of request. As litigators, it is critical to understand how to enforce or defend letters rogatory to and from BC.
Join us to learn:
- what letters rogatory are
- how to enforce a foreign request in BC
- how to enforce a BC request in the US
- how to enforce a BC request in another province
- how to conduct examinations or depositions pursuant to letters rogatory
- strategies for defending against enforcement by other parties
