The Canadian Elder Law Conference is a two-day forum on the law and policy issues impacting older clients, featuring practical skill-based sessions, updates on hot topics, and current research on law and aging-related topics. Elder law is a multi-faceted topic touching on diverse areas of practice, including wills and estates, family law, pensions and benefits, healthcare rights, privacy law, and criminal law practice. Expect sessions on hot topics such as mental capacity issues, substitute decision making, physician-assisted death, cross-border issues, and financial abuse. Hear from practice leaders from across the country, including lawyers, medical experts, and financial sector professionals.
