Deepen your mediation expertise through learning with a small group in a relaxed setting on beautiful Hornby Island! A rare and unique opportunity.
Public awareness and provincial legislation have created increased demand for mediation, and mediation expertise (whether as counsel or mediator) is now widely considered to be a core competency for lawyers. This reflective and interactive course is designed for those who have participated in mediations as counsel or mediators. This course will also benefit those who have mediation training, yet have never “hung out their shingle” and offered their services as a mediator.
Electronic teaching aids/materials not included.
*DISCLAIMER: In order to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course, learners are required to participate fully in the course. "Full participation" is in the faculty's sole discretion. Activities such as reading the paper, watching videos on the computer, not being present, engaging in phone calls, and disrupting the class with irrelevant activities will demonstrate a lack of full participation.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 16 hours (including a minimum of 2 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.)
