Pan Pacific Hotel, 999 Canada Place, Vancouver
Who should attend: This workshop is designed to enhance the specialized knowledge of lawyers with established estate practices, as well as those who would like to develop them. This workshop is not for beginners.
Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced
With higher stakes, more complex estate issues, and more complicated and fraught family dynamics, estate administration matters pose greater risks than ever before. Join us for this highly interactive workshop, combining short lectures highlighting procedural and substantive problems with group discussions of various resolutions.
Using fact patterns to present problems and generate discussion, experienced faculty will guide you in working through the issues and identifying pragmatic options that you and your staff can choose to avoid the most common errors. You will also learn to assist personal representatives and beneficiaries in their dealings with estates in which they are involved.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 12.5 hours (including a minimum of 2 hours involving aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care, and relations, and/or practice management)
