Who should attend: Lawyers practicing in the area of wealth preservation, wills and estates, and corporate law; the course may also be of interest to accountants, trust officers, and investment advisors.

Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced

Estate Planning and Beyond
This course will look at the inter-relationship between family, business, and ownership when it comes to a family enterprise, and will look at how best to guide and advise families as they think about succession. We will look at governance, strategic options, estate tools and structures, tax issues, financing, investing and insurance issues, and how best to prepare the heirs.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
