Negotiation Strategies: Marty Latz’s 5 Golden Rules: April 7, 2011
8:00 am– 9:00 am: Negotiation Strategies for Litigators; 12:00 Noon – 1:00 pm: Negotiation Strategies for Transactional Lawyers
Learn the Five Golden Rules of Negotiation and become a more strategic—and thus more effective—negotiator! Based on the experts’ proven research, these strategies will enable you to:
- achieve power in your negotiations
- maximize your leverage
- employ “fair” objective criteria
- design an offer-concession strategy
- control the agenda
International negotiation expert and author Marty Latz will lead a discussion on these strategies, provide practical examples of their use, and then challenge his guests (two litigators for the morning session and two transactional lawyers for the lunch session) with difficult negotiation scenarios, inviting them to address how they would put these strategies into practice.
Have you taken Marty Latz’s full-day negotiation course (Advanced Negotiation Strategies for Lawyers, Wednesday, April 6, 2011)?—this hour-long course would be a great refresher. You will hear practical application of these strategies and have an opportunity to ask Marty any burning questions you have.
New to Marty Latz?—this course is a great introduction to his negotiation strategies.
Already attending the full-day course?—this hour will prepare you well with an overview of the strategies Marty teaches, and examples of the use of the strategies.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 1 hour. This course will NOT involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.
