What you absolutely need to know!
This year is the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing is an ever growing international battle. It is now more important than ever for lawyers to learn how to detect and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. It is, therefore, key to keep up to date with and fully understand the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act.

The scope and range of Canada’s anti-money laundering legislation is broad and far reaching and gives rise to a host of issues surrounding enforcement and compliance on the one hand and the prosecution and defence of alleged offences on the other. This comprehensive one-day program is designed to give lawyers and compliance officers from regulated industries a firm grounding in the basics of what they need to know to comply with anti-money laundering legislation.
