Environmental law issues can arise in a broad range of contexts—are you prepared?
Environmental law issues can arise in a broad spectrum of settings in day to day practice. Litigators, solicitors, and in-house counsel who handle matters for clients of all sizes and types of operations can be called upon to manage environmental issues. This comprehensive one-day course is designed to bring counsel quickly up to speed on the critical issues and best practices currently shaping environmental risk management. The program will focus on select issues of broad application and topics will include: contaminated sites, civil liability for environmental issues, environmental enforcement and penalties, environmental issues in transactions, environmental assessment, and working with Aboriginal groups on environmental issues.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 6.5 hours (a minimum of 1 hour will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
