Who should attend: Lawyers who have some wills and estates element to their practice.
Learning level: Fundamental/Intermediate
This course will highlight the major changes made in the law through the WESA, which will come into force on March 31, 2014. The survey of the new legislation and the accompanying Rules will also provide some important “alerts” to identify issues for practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation.
Course on January 7, 2014: This condensed course is for those who have some wills and estates element to their practice and wish to have a summary update on the legislative changes or it may serve as an introduction to the full WESA course to be rebroadcast on January 16 & 17, 2014. There will be NO faculty available to answer questions for this course.
Course on January 28, 2014: This condensed course is for those who have some wills and estates element to their practice and wish to have a summary update on the legislative changes. Faculty will be attending via chat to answer questions.

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 1.5 hours. This course will NOT involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management.
