In matters regarding self-governing professions, the practices, procedures, and rules are unique and frequently changing. Protecting the public interest and maintaining the profession's integrity and credibility must be balanced with the individual's interest in his or her livelihood, reputation, and ability to practice effectively.
This course will cover a comprehensive range of professional regulatory issues including good character requirements, urgent interim suspensions, discipline, and judicial reviews and appeals of decisions. Hear expert speakers whose practices range from representing professional regulators, to defending professionals, and adjudicating judicial reviews and appeals. This is a valuable opportunity to learn from a diversity of expert experiences and viewpoints. Come join us to hear and discuss these topics facing self-regulating bodies.
