About Self-Paced eLearning
Easily accessible in a one to two-hour program, Self-Paced eLearning provides video, quiz questions, and reference materials. The programs are available on demand for two weeks from your date of purchase. You work at your own pace, you control the video and question playback, you can stop part way through and your answers are saved. These programs provide CPD credit for working on your own, at your own pace.
This Self-Paced eLearning course is beneficial for: Lawyers who are or may be involved in litigation with unrepresented litigants on the other side.

Despite recent steps to stream-line the civil litigation process, the cost of retaining a lawyer, particularly in a complicated case, remains outside of the means of most people. Not surprisingly, there appears to be an increase in the number of self-represented litigants trying to access justice through the courts. Most lawyers find it difficult enough to navigate through the civil litigation process, so it is understandable that most self-represented litigants find the task daunting and, more often than not, get things wrong. The vast majority of self-represented litigants are well-meaning. However, some are very focused on their legal 'problem' and pursue their claim in a way that lacks objectivity and can result in vexatious and extreme allegations against your client. The costs of litigation for your client can be significantly increased, and for the lawyer, the dealing with a self-represented litigant can present a unique set of challenges. At this course, you will receive some practical tips, strategies and advice (including ethical considerations) for dealing with self-represented litigants.
