1. iPad Basics for Legal Professionals

Who should attend: Lawyers and staff who are constantly on the go and want to securely and effectively work from their iPad.
Learning level: Fundamental
Whether you're new to the iPad or whether you've been using it for years, you'll find this morning seminar tremendously useful. We will take a quick tour of the iPad and will walk through a "day-in-the-life" of an iPad-using lawyer. We will tackle important security settings and how-to's on managing documents, taking notes, and going paperless. These are “hands-on” experiences, so bring your iPad and be ready to learn how to get the most out of it!
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 3.5 hours (a minimum of 30 minutes will involve aspects of professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management).
2. Advanced iPad Topics for Legal Professionals
Dig a little deeper into how to use the iPad—legal research, giving a presentation, using it in the courtroom, and much more

Who should attend: Lawyers and staff who are constantly on the go and have mastered the basics of the iPad but are looking to better utilize this device to their practice's advantage.
Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced
Now that you're familiar with the basics of your iPad, it's time to dig a little deeper. How can you do legal research on the iPad? How do you give a presentation on the iPad? We'll answer these questions and many more as we discuss and demonstrate the professional legal tasks that can be accomplished on the iPad. This will be a "hands-on" event, so bring your iPad and be ready to learn how to get the most out of it!
