Get online access to our repository of recorded presentations from CLEBC courses.

So you can quickly find what you need, we’ve recorded our in-person courses, divided them by individual presentations (“modules”), and sorted the modules by practice area. Each module contains the presenter’s video or audio accompanied by any PowerPoint slides used, and also provides access to electronic course materials and handouts from the presentation in the module interface.

CLEBC’s Online Course Materials service is only a click away. Access our vault of over 4,400 papers produced for CLEBC courses held since 2001.

Written by leading BC lawyers and judges, the papers in Online Course Materials contain discussions of substantive law, extensive commentary, practice tips, and unreported trial and appellate decisions for your practice area.

We’ve designed Online Course Materials so that you can browse for what you need by practice area and search for what you want by course name, paper title, author, or keyword. Our papers are in PDF format and easily downloadable onto your desktop.

Self-Paced eLearning offers one to two-hour programs on various topics including ethics and practice management. These short online programs are interactive, with quiz questions interspersed between video clips and reference materials about the topic covered.

CLEBC’s Toolkits provide you with online practice support and skill development. Each Toolkit contains video demonstrations, explanations, and commentary along with text resources such as practice tips, checklists, and precedents.

Advocacy Toolkit

CLEBC’s award-winning Advocacy Toolkit is designed to assist lawyers with limited recent court experience. The Advocacy Toolkit follows a single fact pattern and features short videos demonstrating effective and ineffective examples of 10 essential oral advocacy skills. Each video is annotated with commentary and explanations on how to make a more effective oral presentation. The skills demonstrated include:

  • theory of the case
  • opening
  • chambers applications
  • examination for discovery
  • direct examination
  • cross-examination
  • refreshing memory
  • objections
  • impeaching the witness through prior inconsistent statement
  • closing

Save hours of drafting time with CLEBC Precedent Collection offering hundreds of regularly updated online forms and precedents in a broad range of practice areas. Quickly find the template you need by keyword searching the collection or by browsing by practice area.

With each form or precedent, you can:
