EDUCATORS ARE ASKED TO APPLY BY SEPTEMBER 8, 2025, WITH WORKSHOP PROPOSALS for the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) Education Conference, Creating an Education System Worthy of our Children.
The conference, to be held at the Westin Bayshore Hotel Vancouver from December 5-6, 2025 (with an opening evening December 4), “is an event focused on advancing quality First Nations education in British Columbia” to which several hundred participants are expected. From the FNESC conference web page:
FNESC seeks proposals for workshops on topics relating to the theme that demonstrate systemic change or innovative approaches at a variety of levels (K4-Gr. 12, adult education and post-secondary).
Apply by September 8th.
Two presenters per workshop are eligible for benefits if required (complimentary hotel, registration fee waiver, and 50% travel reimbursement).
A call for approximately 35 exhibitors is also expected in the categories of
- Art/Gifts
- Books/Classroom Resources/Curriculum/Technology
- Post-Secondary/Training/Awards
- Partners/First Nations Organizations/Government
