UBC LAW PROFESSOR MARY ELLEN TURPEL-LAFOND is leading an investigation into Indigenous-specific racism in the British Columbia health care system.

BC Health Minister Adrian Dix appointed Professor Turpel-Lafond on June 19, 2020. The investigation will be conducted in stages; report(s) will be made before Dec. 31, 2020 and will be made public. See FAQs here.

The investigation’s website includes a working glossary that defines related terms and words. It also provides a list of available resources and referrals for mental health and wellness support and services.
