ALTHOUGH CANADA POST RECENTLY ISSUED FOUR NEW STAMPS to draw attention to the legacy of residential schools, one of the schools depicted, the Île-à-la-Crosse Residential School at a historical Métis community in Saskatchewan was not included in the 2008 settlement.

The Survivors’ group has filed a proposed class action suit naming Canada and Saskatchewan as defendants, with support from the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan.
